About Us

‘Excelling in employment, training and community‘

NORTEC is a not-for-profit organisation so we invest funds from our commercial enterprises to support the delivery of NORTECs community programs, social enterprises initiatives, small business support and communtiy grants & sponsorships. These activities assist us to positively contribute to social and economic growth for communities in our region.

Our History

NORTEC came about as a result of the merger between TTEC Enterprises (who had been a part of the Tweed community since 1979) and Ballina Skills and Development Centre (BETC), based in the Northern Rivers region since 1986. Both companies began out of a desire to create employment opportunities and economic growth in our local region.

Since the merger of these two like-minded companies in 2007, NORTEC has successfully grown to have 16 offices throughout the Mid and North Coasts of NSW, from Nambucca to Tweed Heads and four offices on the Gold Coast, at Palm Beach, Coomera, Nerang and Southport.
