Investing back into the community

Excelling in employment, training and community

In 2000 NORTEC (formerly TTEC Enterprises and BETC) formally established a Community Investment Program through which the Company reinvests its profits back into the Community.

Projects have included: Volunteering:

  • Investment of over $30,000 in 2000 into a Volunteering Research Project which has now led to the establishment of Volunteering Tweed as an agency linking Tweed Shire Volunteers with Volunteering opportunities in the community.
  • Subsidisation of Volunteering Tweed (now NORTEC Volunteering) over the period of 2001-2007 - approx $240,000.

Youth Services:

  • Subsidisation of Youth Enterprise Service over the period of 2001-2007 - $172,000, currently investing approximately $40,000 and $50,000 per year into bettering our youth program delivery.

Other:

  • Investment in 2001 of $20,000 into the Murwillumbah Community Support Scheme to establish a Volunteer Co-ordinators position and $10,000 maintenance towards same in 2002 and 2003.
