Community Grants Initiative
NORTEC's Community Grants Initiative focuses on projects or community organisations that encourage or promote employment prospects and/or skills development opportunities in our region.
The $25,000 Grants Initiative is generally launched in the early part of the year (March/April) and is open to all community organisations and events within NORTEC's service footprint (from Nambucca to Tweed Heads).
$25,000 NORTEC Community Grants Initiative - 2011
NORTEC would like to thank all local community organisations who applied for a Community Grant in 2011.
The applications were of an incredibly high standard and after much deliberation by the local panels,
the following grants were awarded:
- Coffs Harbour & Surrounds:
Bellingen Chamber of Commerce – ‘Just 1 Job’ Program (a program working alongside local

Clarence Valley Council 'Yaegl Footprints' Youth Art program - $3,000 and
Caringa Enterprises 'Colour our Learning Centre' art mural for child care centre - $2,000
- Richmond Region:
Casino Leo's Rock Esteidfodd Challenge (entry for local Casino Youth into Rock Esteidfodd) $2,000
Uniting Care Transport Team - office skills training for disabled participants - $3,000
- North Coast:
Shara Community Garden - Community Sustainable Garden project for Ocean Shores - $5,000
