NORTEC Employment and Training Ltd is the sponsoring body of NORTEC Recruitment, a Job Network operation providing Job Matching, Job Search Training and Intensive Assistance; NORTEC Youth Services at the Youth Enterprise Service in Murwillumbah and NORTEC Volunteering service, and is committed to maintaining the confidentiality and privacy of our clients' personal information.
NORTEC will collect personal information for the purpose of assisting our clients find employment and the information will be shared with the Department of Employment Workplace Relations (DEWR), Centrelink and, with consent from individuals, potential employers.
The confidentiality and privacy of our clients' personal information will be maintained by:
- The commitment by all employees and associates of NORTEC to The Privacy Act 1988;
- The commitment by all employees and associates of NORTEC to The Privacy Amendment (Private Sector) Act 2000;
- The signing of a Deed of Confidentiality by all employees and associates of NORTEC as an integral part of their employment or association;
- The adherence to the collection, use and disclosure of any personal information only being used for the purpose it was collected;
- The compliance by all employees and associates that no individual's personal information will be used or disclosed without prior consent;
- The maintenance of accurate, complete and up to date personal information;
- The maintenance of electronic and physical files to ensure personal information is protected from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure and the destruction or de-identification of information when this information is no longer required by NORTEC;
