How do I put in a request for Labour Hire staff?

By contacting NORTEC Labour Hire, they can consult with you as to the type of employee you are looking for, what skills and qualifications you will need them to have and establish the duration of the work, what days and hours and any other specific needs for the job at hand.

What is the charge rate for NORTEC Labour Hire staff?

waitressOnce we have established the nature of the work with you we can establish an hourly charge rate. Charge rates start from as little as $24 per hour. Once you have completed our credit check and signed our terms and conditions you are able to order any staff at anytime just by giving us a phone call. A work place health and safety check will also be completed on your work site.

What does the charge rate cover?

The charge rate covers the employees wages, tax, super, workers compensation and protective equipment (if required).

We are a 24hr service and will do our best to provide staff to you that day or at least the very next day.

Can I call NORTEC Labour Hire after hours?

Yes. NORTEC Labour Hire is a 24hr service, you can call us any time you have a problem or just a general enquiry.

What are the minimum hire hours?

You must have the hired employee for a minimum of 4 hours a shift

How do we pay for staff?

NORTEC employees will have a timesheet book on site. At the end of the shift or end of the week an onsite supervisor must sign off on the hours they have worked and fax the timesheet to head office. You will receive an invoice each week for the work completed and a copy of the timesheet filled out and signed.

What happens if the labour hire employee isn’t working out or they are not able to complete the tasks given?

We can immediately organise a replacement employee with skills and qualifications needed for the task at hand.

We have staff from construction, trades, engineering, general labouring, hospitality and administration. All NORTEC Labour Hire staff have been reference checked and copies of all qualifications are kept on file and updated when necessary. We will give you employees that have all the qualifications, tickets and experience needed to fill your role

Are your staff OH&S inducted?

Yes! All NORTEC Labour Hire staff have been OH&S inducted and, if required, are provided with safety protective gear.
