How Can We Help You?

NORTEC Recruitment is contracted to deliver the Australian Government funded Job Services Australia program, which is a no-cost recruitment service.

NORTEC have 16 offices throughout the Mid to North Coasts of NSW, from Nambucca to Tweed Heads. To find an office closest to you click here.

NORTEC assist job seekers by actively canvassing employers for jobs and then matching and referring our clients to these positions.

We can help you to find work if you meet the criteria listed below and register with us. You are eligible if:

  • You are on Newstart allowance or another form of allowance
  • You are not on an unemployment benefit, but work less than 15 hours a week
  • You are not in full time education or training
  • You are not an overseas visitor
  • You are not on an aged pension

If you are eligible, you will be registered with NORTEC Recruitment as a Job Matching client and in any of our offices you will have access to our computers, faxes, photocopy machines, current job lists, employment sections of newspapers and a phone to contact potential employers.

If after a certain period (generally 3 months) you have not had any success in finding work, we will provide you with one-on-one career counselling and assistance.

Employment Focussed Training

Being a Registered Training Organisation, NORTEC can offer our jobseekers access to extra training where they need it.

We offer a three week intensive group program aimed at assisting jobseekers develop their job search skills and find ongoing employment. Eligibility for Job Search Training is determined by Centrelink, however generally this program is for people who have been unemployed for at least three months and may need extra help in applying for jobs.

If you would like to join our Job Search Training program, you may be allowed to volunteer if you meet certain criteria - please contact Centrelink or speak to our receptionist to determine eligibility.

NORTEC also offer accredited or unaccredited training courses in computer skills, administration procedures, hospitality, horticulture, retail, aged care, community services and more! To find out more about how NORTEC can train you up for a career - click here!

Disability Employment Services (Tweed Region)

NORTEC Recruitment is a Disability Employment Services provider in the Tweed region. If you are a person with a disability, our trained guidance officers can offer you the best support to find rewarding work that suits your abilities.
